Hilm is designed so your operating system stays yours.

Account data, projects, meetings and AI conversation history are stored in Hilm’s database with row-level security, so each account and workspace can read only its own records. Meeting audio is kept in private storage only until its transcript is complete, then deleted; transcripts are kept. Task attachments are kept for 90 days by default (adjustable in Settings), with notices before deletion. AI and transcription requests use Hilm’s server-side keys, which are never sent to your browser.

Offline caches live on your device via IndexedDB and the service worker. You can request export of your data from Settings as that surface ships.
